Bakelite & Celluloid Button Card
Talk
about your vintage sewing collectables! This card is full
of some really wonderful buttons. There are 56 in all. They
are all from the same manufacturer who's name is written faintly
in pencil on the card. It looks like the "United Carr
Fastener Corp". The pair that look like little oranges
are about the best fruit buttons I've seen. The green one
at the top of the card that looks like glass... is! Green
glass set in celluloid. Some test for Bakelite, some are other
thermoset and some are celluloid. A very cool addition to
any button collection. To give you an indication of size,
the pink domed ones are the size of a quarter.
